Bumper sticker of the day: “Slap the Stupid People.” This I like. And I see a way to monetize the concept, Pentagon-style, by selling equipment to both sides.
For the slappers, surgical gloves, to protect them from whatever cooties these slobbering nitwits are carrying. These are to be worn under official DopeSlap™ gauntlets, in plebian chain mail or aristocratic articulated plate, to prevent damage to the hand.
For the slappees, catchers’ masks and wooden teeth, just like the Father of Our Country had before this uppity nigra showed up from Kenya with his socialized medicine.
Can you say “win-win?” Sure. I knew you could.

Might collapse with exhaustion slapping all the stupid people out there today.
Why do you have to give the slapees any protection? Where, praytell, is the fun in that?
I reckon this means I get to slap the moron in the Jeep Cherokee that HAD to gun it to get around me this morning just so he could get to his parking lot a little before mine. Nevermind that he would have made the green light even if he’d stayed behind me.
As my wife likes to say when explaining the behavior of one group of bozos or another, “People are stupid” which pretty much provides an explanation for the existence of what passes for the Republican Party these days.
This might be old news, but did youse guys watch Barney Frank’s bitch slap the other day? Good television.
Barney Frank’s response to the screwball was perfect! I’ll be attending one of these meetings with our local congressman “Right Wing Steve King” on Monday. I’m sure I’ll be in the minority as someone who thinks universal healthcare is a good idea, but unlike most of my opposition I’ll be armed with FACTS to back up my opinion. Probably will get no chance to speak or if I do, I’ll get drowned out by those Medicare recipients who oppose “socialized medicine” which is one of King’s favorite catch-phrases, delivered with the same sneering attitude we used to hear about the threats from the commies.
Larry T:
Go armed–not just with facts. Guns are the new must-have accessory for town hall meetings.
Speaking of stupid people and guns, check this out.

Awe, Khal beat me to it – the dumbass from Durango takes the prize. Of course, he’s still driving around being a menace as I think he posted bail. Hope they put him away for a while, and glad I wasn’t on that ride or I’d be in jail or in the morgue….
What’s REALLY scary is this idiot is back on the loose after posting only $5K in bail. How much of that do you have to actually hand over to the bail bond guy? And I’m SURE he’s gonna obey the restraining order about not having any weapons of murder while he’s out on bail! Glad I live here in (more-or-less) peaceful Sioux City, Iowa where today in 40 kms I had only to deal with 1 huge “box-o-rocks” who couldn’t be bothered to even give me the state-mandated 36 measly inches of clearance as he roared past and one woman in her “shopping-utility-vehicle” who turned left from a intersecting street right into my path without so much as a look! But as far as I know, neither of these morons was packin’ heat.
Gee, I feel much better about riding here in the big city. We may have more stupids by total count, but the density of vehicles is so high that:
1 they are kind of drowned out
and
2 Traffic is so tight their ability to maneuver is constrained. ie they hit other cars first.
Only time I was in Durango was a couple years ago, and I took my bike up there to get some miles in. Seemed like a nice place. But every Christmas Tree has its dim bulbs.
Yikes. While on the East Coast at some races these past couple weeks, one of my racers who lives in Durango was telling me about this crazy ride he was on where a dumbass in a pickup with a gun was threatening the group. I guess it wasn’t a fish story! Good find, Khal.
I wonder if the Head Dog knows one of his distant kin got smacked permanently in Chi-town? Irish cyclist killed in Chicago
I threatened to attend one of the “town-hall” meetings when they came close. “Right Wing Steve King” the screwball right up there with Tom Tancredo in the House of Representatives, put on a nice piece of political theater this morning and I was there. I was allowed to read a brief prepared statement though interrupted by morons when I offered facts disputing the myth the US healthcare system was the best in the world. I was armed with printed facts which I offered to share after the meeting but of course none of ’em could be bothered with those. More jeers when I explained that while each of them was entitled to his/her own opinion, they were not entitled to their own facts. A suprising number of folks here in SUX voiced concerns/complaints about denial of coverage due to pre-existing conditions and the inability to transfer coverage when they switched jobs. One poor soul explained his dilemma –he’s too sick to work, on Social Security but not old enough to qualify for Medicare–truly between a rock and a hard place. King had no real plan or answers for these folks but one thing was for certain–government healthcare is NOT the answer! I found it amazing that even the poor guy between the rock and hard place, while desparate to get on Medicare could get all agitated at the very thought of govt healthcare. The RNC, Rush Windbag and FAUX News have again successfully riled up these morons to oppose laws that would actually benefit them. They are uninterested in being confused by any facts, their minds are made up. I thought the “keep your gummint hands off my Medicare” baloney was too screwy to be true–until I saw and heard it first hand this morning.
