Drifters “White Christmas” has to be one of the top 3 xmas songs of all time. In 1954, it was No. 2 on the R&B charts but couldn’t get played on white stations. The video is terrific.
It’s killer, for sure, Mr. P, especially when you stack it up against what the honkies were making do with in 1954: Perry Como, Doris Day and Eddie Fisher. Ick.
