Oh, man, it’s killing me this year. I’ve had to resort to the Claritin-D three or four times already and it wasn’t even spring until today. The junipers, cottonwoods and ash are going batshit down here.
The mulberry is on the city’s official shit list. Never fear, I have plenty of other allergies to make life … interesting. Blaugh, honk, squee, foont, nyeeeeenk, snork, ptui.
Just got a note from one of our county supervisors stating there is a large landfill fire, that started yesterday, in Cananea, Sonora. Cananea is about 30 miles South of Sierra Vista. We have light winds from the South that are bringing the stink up here. That’s explains the nasty air quality this morning.
As usual, Donald Daintydigits is bobbing, weaving, and lying. Our president sits around and watches Fox news on TV and believes the shit. Scary is what that is. He’s in charge of the largest intelligence apparatus in world, and he watches TV to see what’s up. Unreal.
Owning the NSA, CIA, DIS, etc, and then electing to get your intel from Fox is like having the E Street Band as your house band but playing Flock of Seagulls on the Wurlitzer on endless repeat instead.
I rode this morning. We have a strong high pressure ridge overhead and no wind. It has trapped the coal power plant smog and dust from both sides of the border right on top of the San Pedro river valley. Breathing on the bike was not very good. Smelled funny and made my eyes burn.
It’s a beauty…our Oaks and Pecans are all budding out and so allergy season has arrived here as well.
A bike group I ride with invited Jim Sayer to lunch on Saturday. He’s in Austin on a stopover from a cross country/southern tier with his daughter Lucy. I told him everyone I know loves Patrick O’Grady’s reviews!
The two plus feet of snow I got a week ago is melting but it is enough to delay spring allergies!
Watched (CSpan) the hearing with Comey and Rogers this afternoon and catching up now with the repeat on the stuff I missed this morning. It helps to watch simultaneously with a friend and text back and forth about it. For times when I get frustrated with what I hear.
Man, could we ever do with some of that precip’. It’s gonna be a long hot summer if we don’t get some water in one form or another.
And yeah, when it comes to clown shows like we saw today, misery mos def loves company. I have a few fellow sufferiers on various messenging apps. Charles Pelkey and I may be the last two people using AIM. Old school, yo!
First day of spring and we’re in a red flag fire warning. That shit never went up until June in the good old days. Something ain’t right. But I know! Let’s put a petrol-head in charge of the EPA!
Take some of our rain PO’G – it’s starting tomorrow and continuing all week. I need to bathe our epoca bikes before packing them for shipment to CA for Eroica now that they’e complete and have been test-ridden over some “strada sterrata” or what passes for it in Iowa. Maybe I’ll just park ’em outside and let nature do it? http://cycleitalia.blogspot.com/2017/03/bici-depoca-huffylandshark.html
Can a snowstorm wash a bike? That’s what we’re getting! On the first day of spring. Interesting article here on Tange Prestige tubing http://www.bgcycles.com/new-page-1/
Hey, Lorenzo, that’s some fine-lookin’ machinery you got going on there. Fit for a King, as long as his name isn’t Steve or Peter. Badaboom, badabing. …
Spring is snot nice up here. I love my pinon and juniper but am terribly allergic.

Do you have any mulberry trees up there? They are the worst!

Are you sure it’s not that Dumpster fire back east?

Can you imagine the breath on his press secretary, considering that all-you-can-eat shit sandwich he’s chewing day in and day out? Peeeeeeyeeeeewwwww.

Bless your heart, Sharon. A good word with the boss-fella never hurts. Dude is a riding fool, isn’t he?
I remember the pecan trees fondly. A neighbor on Randolph AFB had a big old’ pecan tree in his back yard, and we spent a lot of time climbing it.

Gorgeous! Larry, well done. Soma bikes are made from Tange Prestige tubing, and now my two are a little more special to me. Thanks.

In this case, it’s a Queen, the one who says…well, you know what she sez. She’ll be riding the “HUFFY” at EROICA CA while I’ll be on this

Another beauty. I have Ciussi Elite Inox cages on all my bikes, even the Niner mountain bike. Things work and last forever besides looking good.
