Is this thing on?

While we await the wisdom of the WordPress Wizards, SAO — one of our longtime readers who can still post comments — suggests that the Dog Blog’s theme, Penscratch 2, may be at least part of the problem.

Penscratch 2 is an old theme — not as old as its predecessor, Kubrick — but still, plenty of white hair in its ears and a stoop to its bony shoulders, plus it seems to have forgotten where it left its keys to the comments. Also, it may have shit the bed.

So, while we wait — and wait, and wait, annnnnnnnnnnnd wait —I need someone who is still unable to comment using Safari, DuckDuckGo, or whatever to try adding a comment to the most recent post, “Age limits,” at this unused blog, which runs the Independent Publisher 2 theme.

Thanks in advance. More as we learn it.

  1. Posting from a Windows OS unit, using Firefox browser, not logged in, adding my email address and name after inputting the text of this message.

  2. using duck duck go. may hap it may work. drying out and getting warm 92 .but it is near the Canadian border.

  3. I finally got around to firing up an old Windows laptop with Firefox as browser as you suggested and……wala….yes one can post going that route. Good luck getting the blog re-aligned with Apple devices. I tried using several browsers on both Apple devices I have and still got the cold shoulder.

  4. I virtually perambulated over to the T&C where I was able to post to my hearts content, and quite possibly to your utter dismay. But it’s still a no-go on the hairy legged OG site. (Again, sending this via the WP app.)

  5. Thanks to everyone who participated in our little experiment. I appreciate the assist. Still no wisdom from the Wizards, so it may be a while before we get things sorted out.

Incidentally, instead of using the WP dashboard whizbangs, I added this comment at the bottom of the post, just like reg’lar folks, using the window readers see when they want to sound off. I used my WP login. I’m on macOS Mojave, browsing with Firefox.
