Perhaps “Roadkill in the Bike Lane” would be more apt. It is Portland. Although there is a lot of green boxes at intersections that out of town infantry may not realize the purpose of.
With respect to the hilarity of the mismanagement of our country, has anybody else of our wisdom thought that they might have stumbled into an episode of the Twilight Zone? A script that Rod Serling would be proud of.
Is that roadkill democracy or the rule of law? It was so fractured that it was impossible to tell.
Meanwhile, a judge promises to decide today or tomorrow whether to block Cheeto Benito’s invasion of Stumptown. She seems unconvinced by the feds’ arguments, which make about as much sense as their boss does.
I must admit that it was a well planned assault on democracy and the rule of law. It took years, at least from the Nixon and Reagan times. I wonder how many of the YAF (Young Americans for Freedom) had roles in the Federalist Society or the Heritage Foundation.
The right wing is patient, like a snake waiting to kill a mouse, and the left wing is the mouse – so far.
