Fears of a clown

Goddamnit, I guess we’re gonna have to watch tonight’s “town hall debate” between The Hilldebeast and whichever Ronald McDonald McTrump decides to show up, if any.

I can’t say I’m happy about it. Herself and I had agreed before the first matchup had even ended that we would watch no others.

But when I see Insane Clown Pussy furiously digging himself ever deeper into a hole, my natural inclination is to stand on the lip and watch. Maybe pee a little. OK, a lot. Call it “trickle-down journalism.”

Charlie Pierce says this big orange chicken has been a long time coming to roost, and I believe him, having once worked in a newsroom full of young, apparently intelligent people who were all hellbent on voting for St. Ronnie of Hollywood.

Will he lay a golden egg on stage, or will the end product be something entirely different, yet all too familiar? Don’t touch that dial.

I hope Mr. De Niro shows up to heckle the dumpster.

  2. Grumbly Old Guy Says:

I can’t watch in real time. I get too exasperated. I will read the transcripts on sliced dead tree.

  3. Pat O'Brien Says:

Ok, I’m in. If I can’t mirror it on the Apple TV, then I will have to be content listening to it. Sandy and Mom haven’t decided about watching it. Toro poo poo here we come. Guess we can always turn it off. Did Billiary get a mohawk?

It was both horrible and terrible. Jesus. Hillary was overconfident and The Donald was his usual awful self. No minds were changed, is my guess. His fans are his fans and the rest of us think he’s an evil clown who should be given a luxurious suite aboard the Event Horizon and launched into some other dimension.

Just watched it,is this guy on something besides himself.

Forty minutes, 20 on TV and 20 on the radio, of that so called debate was all I could stand. When Trump said he would put Clinton in jail, he crossed another line, more serious than grabbing women if that is even possible. He questions the validity of a national election and threatens his opponent with prison. Unbelievable. And Clinton’s talk of no boots on the ground, but put special forces in Syria shows she has not changed her hawkish ways. Does she think these special forces ride hover boards into combat? Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse…….

Gawd, that was 90+ minutes I’ll never get back. Drumpf a bit more subdued but still ranting rather than answering any questions while Billary veered too close to Bush vs Gore-land. I know the strategy is to use up as much of the time as possible by taking all of your time + more, but she should have stayed more “presidential” and let Drumpf be the one the moderators had to chide over and over again.
How ’bout the side-by-side shots where the greasy orange turd’s disembodied hand would appear, waving in Billary’s face? That and the stalking were rather creepy. Drumpf is a strange combination of wimp and thug!
