We’ve been enjoying a pleasant off-and-on rain, and by “we” I mean “not the Balloon Fiesta people.”
Welp, the Balloon Fiesta people have another year and a day to get their traffic problems sorted, because their final launch of 2018 got rained out this morning.
What does a balloon aficionado do when there is no ballooning to be had due to inclement weather? Beats me.
I know what a cycling scribe does. He stays inside and blogs.
Well, this one does, anyway.

I checked the rain gauge this morning, and we have had 1 inch in the last 48 hours. When I was going back inside, this happened.

That’s a good little soaking, Pat. The cacti will be content. Sun is nice, too.
We’re getting a smorgasbord here. I went out for an hour on the bike and I was going, “I’m overdressed. I’m underdressed. Blaugh, unzip. Brrr, zip. I didn’t need to bring this rain jacket. I’m putting on this rain jacket.”

No rain in Bibleburg……just 18 degrees and light snow blowing.
Logged my first indoor trainer of the season…….sure is fun to be back on the stationary bike and able to watch all the “breaking news” shows at the same time. Can’t remember whether I gave up on the trainer or the TV first.
Keep your socks handy, Hurben!! 🙂

Oy. Eighteen is too bloody frosty for October. What, did somebody move winter again? Last I looked it was scheduled for May sometime.

Today was wonderful weather, shorts & t shirt & sandals, oh yeah, oh yeah! Sadly, I have to regard the ‘reflective’ nature of my winter legs emerging on their first outing as a safety feature.

It’s late, but I hope to yet overcome my personal reflectivity. Thanks for the honesty, H.

What’s the attire for today’s ride? Tights, vest, jacket. Yikes, who turned winter on? And, what punishment would be appropriate? Keelhauling, perhaps?
