It’s beginning to look a lot like … well, like summer, only colder.
I dunno, man. It looks more brown and blue from where I’m standing.

Yep. Its starting to look like the only way we will get a white christmas is if we all dress up in our bedsheets. https://youtu.be/AHpTpEH_Bps

It is 64 here right now, and we have a 70 degree forecast for today, and 72 tomorrow. Hot damn, going to ride tomorrow. So, almost summer in winter here in SE AZ. A

This photo could easily go viral. Is it mostly blue? Is it mostly brown (or gold)? What color do you see more in this image?

I think it looks like a still from the trailer from a new political-horror movie: “Illegal Aliens: Triffids vs. The Wall.”

It’s 40 and drizzly here in Paul Ryan’s (ptooooi!) district. No Wisconsin snow in our immediate future.
It’s just as well. More and more I believe snow should be something you go visit, then go home. Mebbe that will change if my smarter half let’s me get a fat tire rig….

Weren’t we just chatting about a great aridness, lack of moisture, too much moisture, weather vs. climate, renewable energy, etc.?
All riding, like all politics, is local! Ride on! 🙂

The local politics in DC is getting more dreary. Another one of “my generals” is bailing out. I’m surprised that he lasted this long. The dominoes continue to fall.

White Christmas is a fantasy for those who no longer (or never) live in places where it snows. All the shop windows here in Sicily have decorations with snowy themes. Thank gawd the only snow I’ve seen here is way up on Mt. Etna, though I have to admit to driving through bits back in January in the road through Enna.
A sunny 60 degrees F here today, which felt much warmer than in Napoli where we spent the past week looking for an apartment for The Prof’s Fulbright activities that start early next year.

White Christmases are nice as long as the roads are reasonably plowed. Somewhere I have a picture sent to me by a friend from Ithaca. It was taken on US Route 11 between Syracuse and Watertown, NY. It shows a state snowthrowing truck is cutting through a 12 foot snowdrift blocking the road. Its not that unusual east of Lake Ontario on the Tug Hill Plateau. I was caught in one of those storms driving up to Canton, NY to visit relatives for Christmas. This little place called the Tinker Tavern Inn (since defunct) off of I-81 was full of people taking refuge from the storm and all we had left to consume was black coffee.
