‘Bigger even than I had feared’*

Not enough moral fiber in the Fox News management diet.

“We’re gonna need a bigger plunger, hon.’ This one doesn’t want to go down and stay down.”

Two takes on Tucker Carlson’s fall from grace: Alex Shephard at The New Republic thinks it’s funny, and David A. Graham at The Atlantic thinks that whoever replaces him will be even worse.

Me, I don’t really have a dog in this fight. The only time I ever watched the bowtied little prick was when Jon Stewart punk’d him on “Crossfire.”

* The headline is a bit of bathroom humor from “Panama,” by Thomas McGuane.

  1. Hmm.. seems like the Fox beast keeps dropping one giant turd after another on us. O Reilly, Hannity, Carlson. How do we cut off its feed to slow down the manure flow? Clearly the advertisers aren’t willing to cut back the calories.

  2. Charlie Warzel at The Atlantic makes a few apt comparisons to the psycho fuckwit Alex Jones and Infowars, whose apocalyptic act ol’ Shucker copied, before closing with this gem: “Tonight, the only difference between Alex Jones and Tucker Carlson is that one of them has a show.”

        1. More “plumbing” connections: the news story includes the detail that the studio/garage septic system (formerly owned by the town) is tied into the town Library! Carlson’s plans included a bathroom and kitchen. The town garage which had been unused for years may have already had a septic system tied into the Library.

  3. Perhaps DeSantis has offered Tucker the position of facility administrator of the new Disney World prison.:

“Before voting to strike down Disney’s development deal, the new district board heard from a number of independent business owners who have restaurants and retail shops at Disney properties. Several said they were concerned new regulations and taxes could raise their costs and make their businesses unprofitable. Gov. DeSantis has talked about raising taxes and putting toll roads in the district. He’s also discussed using some of the land for additional development and even a new prison.”
