We’re just waiting for it to come around. …

Shut up, kid.
Shut up, kid.

It ain’t a dump, and it ain’t closed on Thanksgiving, and you can’t get anything you want.

Still, it’d be a friendly gesture if you took all the garbage down to the city dump, starting with that big orange sack of shit that keeps stinking up the church, downstairs where the pews used to be in.

And remember, if you want to end war and stuff, you got to sing loud.

Might not hurt to recite the Haudenosaunee address of gratitude, either. Props to Charles P. Pierce for showing us the way. For more on the Six Nations, a.k.a. Iroquois Confederacy, click here.

    1. It ain’t the years, it’s the mileage. I think he’s had a couple of strokes, too. We are of an age where we talk more about the strokes we’ve suffered than the ones we’ve doled out.

  1. Why so cheery? I think most of us are healthier than average due to riding those beautiful bicycles. They have delivered us into geezerville in pretty good shape except for maybe our livers! But, to cheer Patrick up, I bought another guitar, another Rainsong. It’s a parlor (small) size body similar to Patrick’s Roadhouse. So, now there will be five be five guitars standing side by side in their cases. Bad news is that Rainsong may be going out of business. I hope a last minute buyer comes in to rescue them, hopefully a rich guitar geek.

    1. Ooo … new git-fiddle? Bueno bueno. I like that parlor size. Suits my small hands and smaller skillset.

Here’s hoping Rainsong finds an angel. I like to think of people making things that other people use to make things.

Meanwhile, no cycling today, but Herself and I did go out for a short trail run, which almost always starts by going down the drain. Everyone we met was in a good mood, and pleasant holiday greetings were exchanged.

    2. I like small body guitars too. Three of the five are small bodies, a Martin 00-15m, a Gibson L-00, and the Rainsong Parlor which arrives tomorrow. The Rainsong is the smallest of the bunch measuring 13 2/2 inches on the lower bouts.
BTW, when poking around an estate sale shop yesterday, we saw a BikeE NX just like the one I used to have. Coming out of Bisbee descending Mule mountain on hwy 80, I was at about 40 mph when the 16 inch front wheel twitched. Scared me bad, it did. Sold it soon after and bought a C’dale.
