Well, that was a bit of fun. Levi Leipheimer (RadioShack) attacks on Bonny Doon as expected, but can’t (or won’t) shell Michael Rogers (HTC-Columbia) and Dave Zabriskie (Garmin-Transitions), who wins the stage. For his troubles, Leipheimer winds up third on the day and on the GC, six seconds behind the Z-man and two behind Rogers.
I was running the live updates again at VeloNews.com for the third day in a row, and things went much better today. It helps to have the old electronic umbilical cord plugged in and humming.
It also helps to have a (mostly) dry day, especially if you’re the poor saps on the road. As for the poor sap in the office, well … I have a bunch of photos to post. More later.

yeah, well, the electrical umbilical cord for the rest of us went to the NHL pregame just as Rogers, Zabriskie, and Leipheimer came into the final 3k…..Versus sucks.
Yeah, well the Amgen site was off when I was trying to watch while supposedly ‘working.’ Not sure if it was a firewall issue or just Versucks playing games…… Either way I guess it could have been worse: I could care. As it is, I’m sitting here and not in SJ at the game. Thank goodness for high speed internet.
Gents,
I forgot to mention that in my post. The comments we began receiving in our live update when Versus went to hockey were, um, not suitable for a family-oriented website such as this. Mothers were mentioned, along with various bits of this and that and where same should be placed and for which unsavory effects. Appalling.
Damn motherfuckers down versus
Can’t watch ToC here. Well, I probably could using the computer. Do I care? I think you can guess. Reading the comments here is enough news for me. What are the odds on another Levi “victory”? Any news on a new sponsor for the race? I thought the Anshutz guys were done with it after this year so it needs a buyer with some deep pockets. I think they oughta go back to a early-season race date and forget about trying to compete with the Giro d’Italia.
Patrick got a chapeau from USA Today this morning from Saul Ruibal:

Versus really screwed the pooch on this one. I’m pretty sure the folks at AEG and Amgen are working out a pound of flesh payment plan.
Just checked out David Z’s blog over at USA Today. He hasn’t posted yet (as of Wednesday morning) about his win yesterday, but what he did have to say about the first two days was interesting. He does have an odd habit of referring to himself in the third person; are there any UCI rules about multiple personalities?
Then again, given the way he rides, heck, he could be Sybil on a bike and I’d still be jealous!
Interesting Giro stage, eh?
Versus didn’t screw the pooch. They have an obligation to show the NHL playoffs. And apparently TCWSNBN called them out on it with a tweet.

As someone mentioned on the post: ironic considering that Versus wouldn’t be where they are without TCWSNBN. Oh well….
LANDIS IMPLICATES O’GRADY !
Floyd Landis today came clean today (…choke) his prior false positives were ACTUALLY caused by the drugs taken as post-exposure prophylaxis–due to possible rabies contraction after being bitten by the leader of Mad Dog Media.
Yep. Landis spills his guts. So when does Lucca Brazi catch up with Floyd?
