Bad citizen redux

Marco 3P0 had his eye on the Orb when it should have been on the ball, specifically, one of the two brass ones belonging to Chris Christie.

We skipped Saturday’s GOP debate, too, though it sounds like we missed some fun, like when Marco 3P0 got his android ass handed to him for playing with his Orb when he should have been paying attention to The Blob, a.k.a. Chris Christie.

Instead, we watched round two of “Horace and Pete,” a new thing from Louis C.K. that has been interesting in its first two outings, kind of like a “Hallmark Hall of Fame” broadcast hijacked by a time-traveling Quentin Tarantino who has his characters say “fuck” a lot.

As with the GOP debates, the cast is unreal — Steve Buscemi, Alan Alda, Edie Falco, Jessica Lange, Steven Wright — yeah, that Steven Wright — and of course, Louis C.K.

It’s not a comedy. I’m not sure what it is, to be honest, and I’m not convinced Louie’s sure, either. But it got my attention the way The Blob got Marco 3P0’s.

  1. Us too. We were satisfied to read about it this morning. Carly Fiorina was interviewed on NPR this morning about not being included. Pissed she was.
We decided to just watch “Dave” yesterday. All the politics we could handle at the time. Might even have to break out the blu-ray, restored, special edition of “Mr. Smith Goes To Washington” if Bernie gets beat in NH.
I am feeling half human finally. I am half human. Sorry Patrick, I know. Worst. Cycling. Movie. Ever.

  2. The big ape throwing dung at the little monkey. The orangutan’s orange glow would have melted my eyes if I had gone to that circus. Watched the Incredible Dr. Pol instead. The animals on that show are much better behaved. Too bad I missed the Bernie/Larry show. I’ll have to catch it on Youtube.

  3. My problem with Billary? Just crystallized as I was folding the laundry. She is a fucking oligarch. She may be a Democratic oligarch, but she is an oligarch, all the same. She and Bill made over 150 million dollars peddling their speeches to Wall Street and the banks (CNN). Oligarchs in Donk clothing.

And now, the founders of the women’s rights movement are hollering at younger women for backing Sanders. Young women are supposed to meekly line up and vote based on gender rather than politics.

I see a serious train wreck coming in November.

    1. Pretty lame. What’s next…telling all the black folks they should vote for Ben Carson? I would very much like to see a woman in the White House and she’s certainly the most qualified one running, but she’ll always be a “hold-your-nose” and vote candidate for me. If a woman voter can’t stand Hillary, would these ladies prefer she vote for Carly Fiorina instead of Bernie Sanders? That’ll help.

      1. Funny that Albright and Steinem think they can get away with that. Imagine the outcry, Larry, if someone were to say that if a woman is running on the Donk ticket, all the men should vote for the GOP candidate simply because its likely to be a man.

On the other hand, this is 21st Century identity politics. Maybe we do vote for people based on what organ is between their legs rather than the one between their ears.
