Is it possible to copyright someone else’s’ words if they’ve never been used in a particular context? “Everybody must get stoned” is a great candidate.
I think that constitutes what the Suits call “fair use.” I can cite at least one reference, in a “Harold Hedd” cartoon by Rand Holmes, who as far as I know never suffered the slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune from Mr. Zimmerman’s legal team.
Plus, Disney v. Air Pirates notwithstanding, there is a certain latitude granted satirists, humorists and other boils afflicting the body politic. In other words, we’uns is only kiddin’.
Watch here:
NBCLive @4:35AM ET on NBC Sports Extra (online)
Taped @3:00PM ET on NBC Sports Network (Cable or sat)
If you have cable or sat download the free app for NBC Sports Extra. Sign in through your provider.
NBC Sports Network is not a premium station. Most subscribers will have this station unless they have the absolute minimum plan.
Otherwise, it’s cyclingfans and steephill!
NBCSN (Sports Network) shows English Premier League (live)and Formula 1 (live) on Sundays in the spring. NBC shuttered Universal Sports Network in October. That network delivered most of their cycling. I don’t have Comcast but apparently NBC offers even more programming for those subscribers on the free app NBC Sports Extra.
BTW Tour of Flanders is live on BEin Sports app Channel “9” online for those that can watch. I can download the app because I have BEin Sports Network on cable but not watch on my iPad. Not configured for my device. The tv channel will show football, motorcycle racing and gymnastics tomorrow.
Wow, Libby, you’ve got it dialed in. NBC Sports has a presence on Apple TV, but it doesn’t look like those offerings include cycling. Thus I follow along via CyclingFans, which has become increasingly difficult — lots of evil popups that confound the ol’ Macinbox.
Great idea! Though unlike your average stage race, I wonder if there will be enough dull moments for me to fart around with typing snarky comments and sending ’em off to you guys? But at least for me the TV race coverage will be on RAI TV in the afternoon so I can tune in AFTER enjoying a bike ride myself. Buon divertimento!!!

I’ll be there, cow bell in one hand, a nickel for the tip jar in the other.
And in honor of Peter Sagan, I won’t shave my legs.
Lug lives. Long live LUG.

More than you ever wanted to know!
Once you download the NBC Sports Extra app it has schedules and you can set up reminders.
