  1. Thanks for the link, but I disagree Patrick. As long as the money keeps flowing their way these whores will keep lapping it up and hoping for more to come their way – bought and stay bought. It truly is pathetic and disgusting. I’ve never been more sickened with Dee Cee in my life. This is fucking madness…

    1. They used to kinda-sorta pretend that all that money didn’t matter. They’ve abandoned that pretense for sure.

The late Curtis Imrie was among the first to propose that all elected officeholders wear the emblems of their corporate donors, a la NASCAR or pro cycling, so you could tell from a glance who held the leash.

    2. Just spent 90 minutes on a “Town Hall” conference call with our representative in the House, Martha McSally. I got in the queu to ask a question, but never got to the head of the line. Oh well, I guess I will just send another email. I emailed Flake yesterday about DeVos, I had given up on McLame since he takes their money and caved on Trump even after having his service questioned by a draft dodger, but it appears Flake follows the party line too. And this wasn’t a party issue. She simply wasn’t even remotely qualified for the job. Voting no was a no brainer, something congress should excel at.

      1. Those phone things are a waste-of-time. It’s like trying to argue with a radio talk-show host. You think you’re asking the question but you’re just getting screened so you’ll never be heard. All to convince the listeners everyone’s on-board with whatever BS the congress-critter is flinging. Once they find out you have a different viewpoint you get in the line that will never move – but you stay on, hoping that somehow you’ll get to really ask your question while listening to everyone toss out the “attaboys” to the congress-critter. Same s__t, different day.

      2. There were quite a few tough questions, including from a 3rd grade class and their teacher in Vail, Arizona. Also a guy asking when VA will get some attention, a question on the Muslim ban, and one on whether she agrees with Trump’s wall. The questions were not screened. You just pressed *3 to get in line. Her responses to most were the bs you refer to Larry like the ACA cutting $700B from Medicare. But McSally just won’t take a stand on Trump, never has and probably never will. That’s why she need to be in her last term. I voted against her in November, just like every other incumbent.

      3. Except for one thing PO’B – you’ll never know what questions (like yours?) were never heard. I have a tough time believing a phone thing like that was the same as having questions yelled out from a live, in-person town-hall meeting. Last live town-hall I did, my brief statement was shouted down after about 15 seconds as I said, “Waiting times to see a primary-care physician in the USA average…..” The cries of “Keep your gummint hands off my medicare!” carried the day. You know what my wife says…

      4. And she is right as usual. And you and Patrick are right about the “conference call town hall.” It is not the same as a live town hall, and genrally not worth a shit. And, we can expect a lot more of them.

  2. Well those of us in Michigan know full well that DeVos is at her core pushing an agenda that only white Christian people matter. WTH do you think her flimsy schools of choice/vouchers argument really does to the people who need it most? Not to worry. This mega rich lady is so spoiled that the first time she gets talked back to she will no longer want the job. Just another bauble to her. Meanwhile it will be nice to get this sad excuse for leadership OUT of Michigan for awhile and she can see how she likes the new Nazi regimes team in DC

    1. Yeah, Herb, you folks have had that up-close-and-personal view. Looks like the rest of us will get it now, for as long as the Bride of Frankenchrist can stand the gaff, anyway.

Evil is one thing. Stupid is another. This woman is the best argument for a public-school education I’ve ever seen.

  3. Drinking in celebration with the wife, the cats, and the TV news tonight in honor of the first (of many, I hope) legal setbacks for the Trumpsters. What part of “unconstitutional” don’t they understand? Plenty, I think. Our side’s battle cry could be “Make America Legal Again.”
