It’s a wee bit early for ticker-tape parades and dancing in the streets, and the advice of Winston Wolf remains pertinent, but yesterday’s elections saw the Donks put a few points on the board.
The game ain’t over yet, and they’re a tough team to root for, but whaddare ya gonna do? At least the bench seems a little deeper this time around.
* The boots. The boots are Timberlands. “The timber lands.” OK, so it’s a stretch.

Let’s hope that this is a little light in the dark distance. I for one am trying to keep perspective, as I’ve been living in one Paul Ryan’s district for twenty years. He’s kept the bluecollars here bamboozled for the longest time. Sigh….
HA HA HA HA HA HA! Well-said, friend Mad Dog…Yes, it does give one a wee bit ‘o hope that the masses of apathetic, possibly progressive voters have seen the light and realized that THEY’VE GOT TO DO SOMETHING QUICK!!!
Resist and carry on, I sez…
That looked like a 3 pointer that was inside the left upright. I’ll take it.
It’s a start. But, next year will be the real test if people, all people, in this country have started to “wake the fuck up.”
The VA state legislative elections are most interesting. Donks may have their first majority in the century, even picking up traditional GOP districts. New Joisey is a blue state and that one was no surprise.

And I really liked the first Sikh mayor of Hoboken, NJ.

Good fer him and for Hoboken. These rednecks and yahoos can’t tell a turban from a kaffiyeh. Or their asses from a hole in the ground.
The most delicious result in Va was the defenestration of infamous coprolite Bob Marshall (R-17th century) by Danica Roem, a trans woman who, in declining to bash him, said “He’s my constituent now.” Smirk.
Oh yea, that cut him deeper than any bashing she could have done.
