Benvenuto

Don Lorenzo reminds us that Piedmont Cycling Resort is open for business.

“Our support car is all set up and we’re waiting for you,” he sez, sez he, he sez.

The skilled, savvy and strong lads and lassies who frequent this dive don’t need no steenkeeng sag wagon, of course.

Still, it’s nice to know that someone has your back in case your legs go walkabout.

Sweet looking Fiat. Looks like a far sexier version of our Impreza wagon.

Mille Grazie, PO’G! This was the car I wanted last year but had to settle for a Renault Megane SW. The best news was the roof rails are the same on both cars so I didn’t have to shell out for a new roof rack! 4 bikes and their front wheels fit nicely on top, leaving the inside for 4 riders (in case of bad weather, etc.) and their gear. Larger groups get support from a 9-passenger van if needed.
Our clients can opt for self-guided rides or pay us to ride (guide) with them or go full-pro with the “ammiraglia” as they call ’em in Italy, stocked with spares, snacks, etc. No matter whether you pay extra or not, the first rescue (for any reason) is always FREE!

Sleek car and snazzy bikes! There might not be wine in the car but there’s plenty to be had in the mountainous region with famous grapes and delicious food as Larry has assured us! Duh, Northern Italy. Best wishes for a great season, Larry!

Grazie Libby! On the subject of vino – https://www.riccardocoppovini.it/ is our new source for everyday bulk wine. Now that we’re technically “retired” this 2 euros a liter wine saves us a bundle, though with our clients we still spring for specially selected, locally bottled vintages to match the cooking here in Piedmont. Cin-Cin!
