I crave a new flute. My old seventh-grade Boosey & Hawkes is slowly giving up the ghost. But holy hell, do the new ones ever cost a ton. A student-grade Yamaha is in the $1,300 range. That’s about a hundy shy of the trade-in value of a 2005 Subaru Forester.
I did a little research, and many people think that guitar is a 1940’s or 50s vintage Martin 00-17. In any case, all mahogany guitars have a mellow sound compared to a spruce top model.

Good-lookin’ rig, innit? I still think off and on about the Taylor GS Mini in mahogany. They have it in stock at the local Guitar Center, too.

That’s a beaut’, Paddy me lad. All mahogany, unike the Taylor, which has a mahogany top and layered sapele elsewhere.
’Course, the way I play it might as well be made out of popsicle sticks and pallets. Would you give a Martin to a monkey? Oook ook ook.
