In “The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress” (1966) Robert A. Heinlein wrote of a computer nicknamed Mike, a “fair dinkum thinkum” that became self-aware and developed a sense of humor over the course of assisting a libertarian rebellion on the moon. One of Mike’s many personalities was Simon Jester, who wrote subversive doggerel and was personified in a cartoon. Sound familiar?
One of his better books, actually. Might even be his best.
Think AI will ever say, “his mind is closed up tighter than a gnat’s ass stretched over a rain barrel.” Or, “Bain Capital got its Mitthooks into the company…” Or, Beernut’s Booze and Bullets Boutique.” I think not. A computer that twisted could take over the world. What?

Take off, heh! But, don’t let her keep the hat.
Wonder if GPT-3 can do timely biting satire and humor? Doubt it.

I bet AI will come up with sayings so clever we won’t even understand them. Only other AIs will get it.

“Ha ha, that’s very logical.”

If you push something hard enough, it will fall over.
That’s been my motto for too many years. It has worked about for me about 25% of the time.
If you lower your expectations to that 25%, sometimes you win.
