Flower, child

A little bit of sunshine against the back wall.

Wowsah. One minute it’s icicles on the wisteria, the next it’s SPF 70 on the arms and legs.

Yesterday was my first outing sans arm and knee warmers this spring. Didn’t even bother to bring ’em along. As a consequence this morning I am a slightly darker shade of pale. In selected PG locations, anyway.

Chihuahua.

Elsewhere, the weather remains unsettled. Finding Ukraine unwilling to roll over and play dead, Voldemort Poutaine, the old commie spook whose military education apparently began and ended with World War II, may be inclined to declare victory and settle for trying to choke down a smaller bite of the country that he’s been chewing on for a while now.

Then again, his purse dogs keep yapping about Dropping the Big One to See What Happens. So, let’s not start dancing the Hopak just yet.

Meanwhile, the less said about the Ketanji Brown Jackson job interview, the better. Jesus H., etc. How Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, Tom Cotton, and Josh Hawley can take three steps in public without getting kicked in the nuts remains a mystery to me.

No wonder everyone wants legal weed these days. The whiskey isn’t doing the job.

Oh, well. Today we’re looking at a high of 76° (!), so I can apply another layer of color to my carcass. But if Pat O’B ventures out today he’s gonna need a space suit. Tucson hit 90° about five days early this year and it’s only gonna get hotter.

Ain’t it the truth! The high today in Sierra Vista is 86. Might even wash the car today. Outside. With a hose and every thing! Down here we are all hoping the forecast for rain early next week is accurate. It’s so dry down here the fish are carrying canteens.
Jackson will be confirmed, she is the most qualified candidate in many decades, and those who tried to piss her off failed. Frankly, the all looked like failed racists to me. What’s the word……

Hijo, madre. That’s toasty, Hoss. That little snow we got perked everything right up. Just about anything that can flower is trying to squeeze one out, stat.

Up north, my man Hal is just about over the snow. Next up: mud season, which is as bad if not worse. Every time he cranks up some mode of transportation — pickup, running shoes, or bicycles — he starts slip-sliding away.

Paul Simon is some kinda song writer, heh? Alan and I are learning to do El Condor Pasa. Went to a friend’s house for dinner Friday night and we had to play and sing for our food since they had other company. We had fun.

Near-record or record highs here in the Bibleburg area for the next three days …… then …… chance of snow and rain on Tuesday/Wednesday. “Springtime in the Rockies.” 🙂

It is 73 at the People’s Liberation Airport right now and 67 on the north side where we live. I rode yesterday and took today off to let the knees rest. They are getting lots better. I can ride pretty hard finally without shooting pain in the knees. Just Old Man Soreness(tm).

I used to be shocked at the “jackassery” in Congress, but am no longer shocked. Just disgusted.
