  1. A Delightful Winter Solstice to you and all the worn posterior crew.

Thank you for the music. I like Dar Williams but I feel on this song her tempo is a bit too fast for those a little farther north where it is cold and frozen. I’d like to here the song if she were to slow down the tempo and emulate the cold of the north. But that’s just my frozen penny’s worth.

Here’s some other acoustic Winter Solstice music:

    Good Riding !

    1. O, yeah, Dar probably could’ve clipped a couple mph off her high hard one, but I thought it captured the frenetic nature of a holiday whose celebrants aren’t all singing from the same hymnal.

The Colonel and the Commie traded glares across the table (ooo-wah)
The others hid the cutlery as best as they were able.

      Like that there.

    1. I went looking for it, but even the official Zappa site is radio silence this year. There seems to be some official Zappadan presence on Facebook, which is of course horribly wrong.

  2. Herb’s so late to the party (and a dollar short) that I just got around to checking out Joe Ely after POG’s post. All these years I foolishly thought he was just another hat with no cattle. Had no idea he played waaay outside the C&W playbook. Watched a montage of his Austin City Limits gigs and was blown away. His bands were phenomenal especially Lloyd on pedal guitar. Joe’s Halloween ACL show must have been a once in a lifetime experience to be at.
