In our latest episode of Guerrilla Theatre (Feline Overlords Edition), Field Marshal Turkish von Turkenstein demonstrates the Republican technique for thinking outside the box. Stare to the hard right long enough and something is bound to come to you. (Hint: It used to smell like half-baked Alaska, but now it’s more like an Easy-Bake Oven Mitt.)

The Turkinator is Republican? Really? Have you been leaving the Fox News Channel on again?
Yet another lily-white republican. And living with O’Grady….
Field Marshal Turkish von Turkenstein could always join the chorus of other right wingers frothing at the mouth as they condemn NPR because one of their execs said in private what we all know to be true: that Tea Partiers are racist and xenophobic.
But hold on a sec! There might just be some truth to the rumor that NPR is run by Democrats. Given how fast NPR caved in to Republican “outrage”, it must be run by Democrats since only Democrats are that spineless.
Meanwhile, I wonder what gems of wisdom are being distributed over at Faux News today? I think I’ll spend the day watching cable news and educating myself. Hey, if you can’t beat ’em (because your side is run by jellyfish), join ’em!
I can’t watch faux news, the Dr told me to avoid too much bullshit.
GOP front-runner spoiler alert: he’s rich and white!
or “her”.
You betcha!
Palin’s a non-starter. She will run, but she’ll get eaten alive at the primary debates. Can’t claim “gotcha journalism” when it’s coming from Guy Smiley or the Huckster. No support in IA or NH, so by week three she’ll find herself in last place and drop out.
I dunno about that. I agree that she’ll get “eaten alive” by the other candidates, but I think it might work in her favor. Remember, the average wage earning Republican resents education, and resents candidate who come off smarter than themselves (which means that they resent the average house plant). This is the cornerstone to Palin’s popularity, as it was for Bush Jr. I really think that any Republican candidate who makes Palin look stupid is going to pay for it at the polls.
Personally, I’m rooting for Palin to be the Republican candidate (or Bachmann, for that matter). The average Republican might admire ignorance and stupidity, but not the average independent voter.
Didja hear: Peter King has ties to the IRA. Big surprise there.
Speaking of deep political thought…. I saw this gem on SlashDot –

The Repuglicans are consistent – campaign on serious issues needing urgent attention, then as soon as they get control of the levers of power they start making laws to deal with arcane or non-existent “problems” like Adam marrying Steve or when a woman can terminate her pregnancy — or doing the bidding of their corporate masters so they get richer and more powerful.
