I just clicked on the link to the CSPD blotter, and for a city of half a million or so, there seems to be a lot of violent crime. You’d think Faux News would be employing a whole gaggle of reporters, chasing police cars & ambulances. Is this status quo OG, or has the crime rate escalated with the economic downturn?

We did just set a record for murders — 29! — and the shootings, stabbings and street fights when the bars close seem to be on the rise, as are armed robberies of banks, pharmacies and convenience stores.
There’s some gang shit going on, and a cop told me the other day that meth use is down, but heroin use is up, so we have that going for us, too.
