I remember as a kid being fascinated by his improvisational abilities. The man could make five minutes of material out of anything. Swear to God. I mean, he did this schtick with a stick, f’chrissakes.
Watched the clip and more…makes me remember my childhood. Performers and performances I had never seen or forgotten. Feelin’ old right now and marvel at the schtick (as above) I’ve seen.

If you can find a DVD of “The Loved One” watch it. It was one of his best – although Mr. Joyboy was a hoot too.
USMC, WWII, pacific theater. Don’t get any tougher than that.
