It’s New Year’s Eve

Sit like a cat

We should

sit like a cat

and wait for the door

to open.

Ran across Braided Creek on somebody’s reading list, made a note to look for it, then promptly lost said note. Thanks for the reminder. And the advice. And here’s to another loop around the big ball of fire.

Thanks again–sure do enjoy seeing these ongoing animal antics–life without our dear pals would be blue. A Happy and Healthy and a Good Riding New Year 2014 to us all!

Yes it is, sadly I fly down to Christchurch tomorrow to bury a life long friend who died on Boxing Day, we’re talking 35 plus years here & i have no idea what I will be saying at the service.

    • Patrick O'Grady Says:

My condolences; I’m sure that your friend’s spirit will inspire you when it comes time to speak.

I have no idea of the average age of the audience here, but speaking as a guy who turns 60 in March, I anticipate more of this sort of thing in my future. I never know what to say, either. And me supposedly a words guy, too.

      • Larry T. Says:

Right behind ya with 60 trips around the sun coming up in August. The benefit? No quota for l’Eroica! Maynard’s already there but yours truly needs to try to get in later this month…fingers crossed. Happy New Year to all!

      • khal spencer Says:

60 in three weeks. Gosh, how time flies….

Wishing everyone and the quadrapeds a great next lap of the sun and with that plenty of sunlight to bask in.

Personally I prefer to sit by the treat jar I can’t open and entice someone to make me happy.

    • Patrick O'Grady Says:

The Turk’ is good at that, too. He perches on the kitchen counter, next to the cabinet that holds his treats, and flicks its door open with one paw before turning his steely gaze on the staff.

let me screw up the curve,76 trips and stil riding just a litle slower.

  7. Patrick O'Brien Says:

I guess I’m mean at 64.5 years. Wait, that didn’t come out right.

But, I did ride today, and, like Larry T. I enjoy the 65 degree and sunny weather even though my old knees demanded tights.
