  1. Safe travels. Maybe wait until you get there to start your hydration program! And as you know, Vegas is an icky place. Be sure to wash your hands too. Lots of dirty money there.

    1. Yeah, Vegas. One big Petri dish. Also, an ongoing demonstration of the flaws of Darwinism and the failure of the modern educational system to teach mathematics. There’s a reason the lights are on 24/7 in that place.

  2. Mirin and vanilla extract count as drugs? I know they have alcohol in them, but that’s a bit of a stretch. My suggestion is you make a bit of a detour into CO where you might procure some shrooms.

    1. Ah, ‘shrooms. I loved those little giggle-buttons when I was a sprout. Easier on the tummy than peyote and less commanding than LSD. A great body drug, psilocybin. Really trips the old Laugh-O-Meter®.

  3. p.s., O’G. I renewed my “free” Adventure Cycling membership for two paid years. Seems like a good organization and besides, they put kibble in the Mad Dog dish…

    1. Outstanding, Larry. I’ll keep an eye peeled. Look for me at the Adventure Cycling booth … they’ll know where I am.

As to the drugs, now, sheesh — I wouldn’t even know where to start looking for them. It’s all I can do these days to find the video camera.

  4. Safe travels among the throngs of distracted asshats sharing the road with you. Are you planning R&R in Flagstaff coming or going? Seems I remember you had a favorite coffee shop and bakery there. Wish I could have been there to meet you and Larry T, but I was too late to get the exhibitor rate at any hotel.

    1. Thanks, Pat. That java shop would be Late for the Train, one of my regular stops in Flagstaff. That, and Beaver Street Brewing, where I usually get the brewer’s platter of sausages and spuds.

I had thought about just doing one mad dash in each direction, but nine-plus hours of driving is about four more than I’m interested in these days, so I’m stopping in Flag’ going out and coming back.
