(Almost) last leaf

Hang on there, fellas, it's only 38 outside.

Hang on there, fellas, it’s only 38 outside.

It’s not quite the last leaf on the tree … but it’s close.

Sad to see fall moving by…it’s my favorite time to ride. But alas, time marches on.

    • Patrick O'Grady Says:

Mine too, Sharon, and I haven’t gotten nearly enough saddle time in. Herself’s vacation in England, Interbike, the Interbug, two trips to Bibleburg, the joys of real-estate sales, deadlines, and in-laws have all conspired against me. First World Problems, to be sure. But still. …

That is a nice picture! That back lighting by the sun is beautiful and it really contrasts with blue sky.
Thirty seven chilly degrees here this morning. Bah, humbug.

    • Patrick O'Grady Says:

Thanks, Pat. I got a compliment on that one from an old pal who’s a pro shooter. Wish I could say I did it on purpose, but it’s utter serendipity.

It’s been in the 30s in the morning here, too. I impulsively went for an hourlong trail run yesterday and today I’m paying the price. Owie, etc.

We had the high 30-30’s…temp and wind speed. Saturday’s supposed to be low 60’s with little to no wind…can’t wait to escape from here for Santa Barbara in a little over a month! What season will it be there – fire, flood, earthquake or riot?

    • Patrick O'Grady Says:

Good on ya, Larry. California dreamin’. I think my next road trip is back to Bibleburg, which is not at all the same thing. We’re inching closer to closing, and if and when the deal goes down, I need to empty Chez Dog tout de suite.

A bunch of the old bike parts cluttering up the garage can go to Bike Clinic Too, which refurbishes rides for the needy. Most of the furniture and whatnot will go to Catholic Charities. But there will still be a truckload of stuff to fetch to El Rancho Pendejo. My back aches already.
