Speaking of rumors, I went to Hastings to rent a movie today. No can do they say. No rentals until next Wednesday, and maybe not ever. Boo hiss. I guess I am just old fashioned, but I like brick and mortar book and video stores. I want to turn a paper page and want the highest quality video and audio on a movie. I like to browse and find movies you don’t see in the big box stores or on line. I bought the remastered “African Queen” on Bluray at Hastings. I didn’t even have to order. They stock such things. I will miss them if they close.
Yep, a good one. Plus I got the remastered “Mr. Smith goes to Washington” on Bluray. And, we’re thinking about the remastered “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance” on Bluray which hit the shelves of Hastings last week. All preserved the original aspect ratio and audio format. The video and audio quality of the African Queen is amazing. No lint skittering across the picture; no snap, crackle, or pop on the audio.
The Turk is a master at the art of relaxation. He’s pretty quick for a big boy, though, when he wants to be. You don’t want to be a lizard or a bug in his AO.
