    1. “Eat shoots and leaves.” Hee, and also haw. I have that book too.

Startled the hell out of The Boo and me. We were settling down for a little R&R on the patio when this interloper sauntered around the corner.

Reminded me of living outside Weirdcliffe. You’d step out onto the wooden deck, which jutted straight out over a steep slope, and you’d hear what sounded like Zombie John Bonham drumming on the underside as a crowd of ’em startled, jumped up, and hit their heads on the underside of the deck.

      1. Pedant here. 🙂
You’ve missed the comma, which is the whole point of that line: “Eats, shoots and leaves.”

    1. Whoo, both of which are in short supply lately. He (or she) did enjoy a bit of grass. I felt badly for having mowed the day before. There should have been some windfall apples on the southwest side of the house, though.

I haven’t seen any lion tracks, nor any buzzworms, neither. But it’s been so warm by the time I get out they’re generally under cover somewhere. Bunnies aplenty, though, and quail. Plus we had a robin nesting by the garage, which was fun. Hummingbirds seem to be in short supply this year for some reason.

    1. That was such a good gag, and I missed most of it for awhile. I need to read, think, then type.
Deer probably trying to take Mr. Boo’s job. After all, the Boo is too demanding wanting to eat regular, get healthcare, have a nice place to live, and probably is a union member. You know, like Cheetolino. Don’t know if anyone noticed that in his financial disclosure he listed a $84K annual pension from the Screen Actor’s Guild.
