OK, it’s been far too dark around here lately, and it’s looking darker today as another storm system rolls through.
So, to lighten the mood a bit, let’s have a look at a story about a 69-year-old progressive sportscaster from Texas (!) who has a miniature donkey named … no, it’s too good to just give it away. You’ll have to read the story. You’re welcome.

Thank you!

Glad to oblige. Jeez, it’s getting so bad I have to turn off the damn’ NPR in the morning. Finding a shiny bit in the sewage lagoon gets tougher every day.

I watched Dale when I lived the that god forsaken city of Dallas. He has always been opinionated and not cared a damn bit what others think. You would get along well with him.

He sounds like one of us for sure. And I notice he’s not wearing cowboy boots in that shot, for which he gets bonus points.

Thanks, Patrick. I noticed in the video about taking a knee during the anthem, that he didn’t utter the name of our chief con man one time. But, he did talk about him. Is that an example for us?

Oops. He used it more than once. Never mind.

BRAVO! He’s a brave man to say that stuff while surrounded by….well….uh…Texans. Meanwhile we have a leader who says “Have a good time!” to people whose island was almost blown away by a hurricane. How clueless can a man be?

How about the paper towel toss? And the statement about “You’ve thrown our budget out of whack.” Con Man in Chief is a total whack job.

Antisocial personality disorder is “a pervasive pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others, occurring since age 15 years”
Narcissistic personality disorder is “a pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning in early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts.
I think the guy who shall not be named (when does the ban end?) pretty well fits this description, no?

Yes! But, professional ethics says no diagnosis without examination. But I ain’t a professional. Head Con Man is bat shit crazy.

Examination? Like unscrewing the top of the guy’s head and looking inside? Examining his actions and history (as much as has been revealed anyway) tells me the guy’s a classic example of a narcissistic sociopath. If that’s considered insanity then yes, he’s insane, otherwise he’s just an a-hole.

Herself and I have this discussion regularly. Not about that guy, but about other folks. What she often diagnoses as a “self-esteem issue” I tend to dismiss as rank assholishness. I’m harsh but fair.
As regards the embargo, you may fire at will. I’m going to continue to minimize my observations regarding that guy because he gets so much press elsewhere and hardly requires my attention.

I believe I will follow your lead. That guy is destroying himself, and he needs no help from me. The alternative is just a slimy pol, and I can deal with that.

In 1984 Bowie and Metheny recorded the very prophetic This Is Not America. Since November of 2016, every time I see or hear a certain orange guy the song pops into my head. Only the lyrics have morphed in my physic ear worm to be This Is Not My President. No! Wonder what kind of music Bowie, Petty and Zevon could have done together. I’m not quite willing to pass to the other side to find out.
