Wak wak fuckin’ wak!

Hey, Donald! Duck!

Boy, Scrooge McDick is really starting to lose it down there in the vault. Y’think he found out Huey, Dewey, Louie, Donald, Daisy, Gladstone, and Goofy are all gonna flip?

Looks like I picked the wrong week to study the Spanish Civil War.

  2. Pat O'Brien Says:

Treason I say! Treason against the king! Making up stuff about the king! I have the best words. I have perfect conversations! I alone can save the country. I am a stable genius. I make the best deals. Arrest them!

He is melting down, but when will Mitch flip? I guess after the dumpster fires his wife or Kentucky throws him out, which ain’t likely. Heather’s theorem at work.

  3. Larry T. atCycleItalia Says:

    IMPEACH THE MOFO ALREADY!

  4. Pat O'Brien Says:

    Did he quit yet?

  5. Pat O'Brien Says:

Now I read that Pence has joined in the call to investigate the Bidens for “impropriety.” It appears his hypocrisy knows no limits. Heaven forbid that we have a politician with “impropriety” or profiting from his position. Ya think? Gee, let me see if I can think of one.

    • Patrick O'Grady Says:

These brazen hoors know that The Turtle has Ginger Hitler’s fat butt on his breath, and that all the House will get via articles of impeachment is practice.

I’m starting to think this guy could pork Jane Fonda on John McCain’s grave on Sunday, Christmas morning, dressed as a black goat, and still get a pass. He’d probably say it was Alec Baldwin. Or Hillary in an Alec Baldwin costume.

  6. David Rees Says:

It’s over folks – dude’s got it wrapped up, done and dusted. He is now in the element he’s been in, and successfully so, his entire life: lie, cheat, push back with insane garbage, perjure himself – it doesn’t matter. He wins. He will come out of this with nary a scratch. He owns it all now: the Supremes, DOJ, Barr, all the lower courts. The Dems are screwed if they don’t pursue impeachment and screwed if they do. The whole process will incense the folks who may have been on the fence about voting for this ambulatory colostomy bag, but I think this will push them to do so. They’re not paying attention, nor do they care, about phone calls to the leaders of Ukraine and the implications of those calls.

The 2020 election is already in the bag for this asshole. And, it won’t be close…

    • SAO' Says:

His incompetence is a feature, not a bug, for most of his supporters. Burn down the country just to own the libs.

    • Pat O'Brien Says:

David may be right. Hope rises, and then gets pissed on.

    • Larry T. atCycleItalia Says:

I hold out some hope on the “we won’t get fooled again” angle since Don-the-Con lost the popular vote by so much the first time. The Donk’s saw how it was done and if they can’t rally enough voters in those key states, they deserve to lose.
Plenty of folks who couldn’t be bothered to vote for the lesser of the two evils in 2016 now are feeling the pain of their decision – I hope they get off their asses to fix this in 2020!

      • khal spencer Says:

The way Don the Con is self destructing right now, if he wins, assuming for the moment that he survives an impeachment trial, it will indeed be another case of the Democrats imploding, as Michael Moore sadly predicted accurately in 2016. As a lifelong Dem, that is always my concern having lived to see some pretty serious debacles (recall Nixon vs. McGovern in ’72 and Mondale v Reagan in ’84?). No, Don the Con won’t sweep forty nine but he might just grab the middle again as he did three years ago.

The real important thing is for droves of Dems to get off their asses in the primaries and ensure a strong and unifying candidate shows up next November. A legitimate win by the Orange Lunatic due to a low D turnout in key states like we had in ’16 will not be good for the Republic.

With Bernie nursing a sore ticker at 78 and Grandpa Joe bumbling his lines, that leaves only Liz of the three old farts. I’d like her to tone down the rhetoric for the sake of centrist Dems and combine forces with whoever looks like the strongest of the young turks. But that’s my choice. I don’t know what the party youngsters want. Dems like me piss off the youngsters.

        • Larry T. atCycleItalia Says:

I doubt “Hilary Clinton 2.0” has any more chance in 2020 than the original did in 2016. Guys like David Brooks go on about some sort of centrist opposition candidate coming to the rescue – been there, done that. Will the Donk’s be dumb enough to try it again? Trump will love it….and win again when the uninspired voters fail to show up, just like in 2016. I don’t recall a lot of centrist candidates being elected in 2018, do you?

        • Larry T. atCycleItalia Says:

I didn’t look up any stats so you may well be right. I was thinking more of “the squad” types who got elected by what I’d guess is people with far from centrist views. As bad as it is I wish people would forget about idealism and make the real choice – who is the least bad? More often than not (Obama for me was a notable exception) that’s what it boils down to when election day comes around but I still hate it when old farts go on about “moderate centrists” when so many polls show Americans are tired of ’em. If I could choose now I think I’d put Elizabeth Warren in the White House with perhaps Kamala Harris as Veep? Then Warren could bow out in 2024 and hand things over to Harris

      • Patrick O'Grady Says:

The Democratic Socialists of America are still feeling the Bern’. I don’t know how many Youngs they represent, or how big a role they can play in 2020, but it’s something to think about.

I’m still leaning toward Senator Professor Warren.

And yes, a solid D turnout, buttressed by a strong voter-registration drive, is a must-have. This is no time to be sitting at home nursing your purity. Any Donk would be an improvement.

        Except for maybe Joe Manchin.

    • Dale Says:

I don’t see Democrats addressing the issues that got him elected in 2016. He plays his base like a fiddle (no pun intended), can screw them into the ground, and still get their votes.

In my little corner of the country the Dems turn out to vote around 40% – the Reps around 60%.

And, if I may orate – the Dems do not elect county and state officials anywhere near the proportion that they should. My wife and I have participated in absentee ballot counts in 2016 – nearly every ballot went for Dems, but the on;y office selected was President. That left all of the really important offices open.

All politics is local. Karl Rove knew that, too bad he wasn’t a Dem.

  7. Herb from Michigan Says:

Baffling. In the world I live in we use plenty of vendettas and tit for tats to avenge our slights. Yet, with all the staffers and post holders Adolph Trump has had leave his orbit, you’d think there would be more rock solid exposure of his crimes. I wonder how much it would cost to get those pee pee tapes from Vlady?

  8. Pat O'Brien Says:

A golden shower show would save the day. Don’t know why it hasn’t come out yet. Vlad must have a certain trigger for its public release. The con man would claim it’s a deep fake spread by fake news. You can’t trust what you see, what you hear, what you read, or what I do. Just listen to what I say. Never thought I would hear someone say that, and expect to be believed. Especially after Bush jr. got us into the never ending war.

  9. Patrick O'Grady Says:

I continue to believe that Ginger Hitler will be with us as long as he has a pulse and one hand capable of signing whatever the party elders set before him.

    Here’s Chazbo on that subject:

“The president* is a blight and impeachment is the only cure, but the conservative project rolls merrily on. I’m not entirely sure he knew what he was signing, because he doesn’t know anything about anything, but the people who find him useful do, which is why he’ll be around for a while longer.”

    • khal spencer Says:

The shrieking about confiscating assault rifles and “we have ten years to the climate apocalypse” might motivate more Conservatives to get out and vote than Dems. Here in New Mexico, our Governor wants all car fleetss to hit 52 mpg fleet average in three years. To many, the thought that Joe won’t be able to buy his F-150 in two years is more immediate than rising sea levels fifty or a hundred years out.

As others have said, Twitter is not a good place to take the pulse of America. I think wealth redistribution could play well in an America with so much income inequality and shitty jobs, but I think it has to be handled deftly rather than with a bull in a china shop approach. Or maybe not.

I’m taking a class on the Spanish Civil War right now. Basically, Spain imploded from within on issues such as the Church and land inequality as well as the rise of leftist parties vs. the traditional far right in Spain. What worries me are the parallels in extremism. Especially given what Larry’s wife says. Regardless of who eventually won in Spain (and it might have been different had the Western Democracies not thrown the Republicans under the bus while Hitler and Mussolini sent arms and Stukas to the Nationalists), a lot of people lost.

The bottom line is to get rid of Ginger Hitler and restore some sanity to the U.S. Senate. That means voter registration and energy.

  10. Jon Paulos Says:

I don’t get why McConnell is sticking with Trump, when he can get an equally useful tool with a lot less headache in Pence.

    • khal spencer Says:

I suspect McConnell thinks that the GOP would die of boredom if Pence was POTUS.

    • Patrick O'Grady Says:

Conventional wisdom is that the Elefinks are afraid of alienating Trump’s fanbois.

But whaddare they gonna do, get pissed, cross the aisle, and vote for Biden, Buttigieg, Warren, Sanders, or Harris?

Does some third-party loon ride up on a white horse and lasso that shower of eejits, tipping the race to the Donks? Mebbe.

But I sure don’t see a bunch of weepy Red Hats staying home on Election Day the way a butthurt Donk does.

      • khal spencer Says:

“I sure don’t see a bunch of weepy Red Hats staying home on Election Day the way a butthurt Donk does.”

Spot on. People wonder why the National Rifle Assn. wields power. Its not because of money, as it is increasingly outspent by folks like Mike Bloomberg. Its because every member of the NRA will drag his or her sorry ass to the polls to vote That Single Issue come hell or high water, every time, while butthurt Donks stay home and piss and moan into Twitter.

Shit, I’m old. I’m past tense. Dead by the time the Climate Apocalypse comes. Why is it I drag my sorry ass to the polls come hell or high water to support a Donk and my fellow Donk Americans don’t? I’m not even a very energetic Democrat any more. I feel more like the Statler and Waldorf act, to put it mildly.

  11. Pat O'Brien Says:

Stupid people watching propaganda on social media and TV will decide dumpster’s fate. And, he has the best propaganda and bullshit and the money to spread it. Sit back and watch the shit show. If the Dems don’t get off their ass and start getting NASTY, then we can bitch and moan about it again in 2021. I don’t think Warren can do it. Neither can Joe or Bernie. They need someone who can go negative big time and expose the asshole for what he is. So here we go again, probably with Joe as a gift from the same folks that gave you Billiary. Cheeto Benito, and that name ain’t funny to me anymore, has already damaged Joe beyond repair, just as he planned to do all along. This boy truly thinks he can be king and is systematically destroying the democracy like countless dictators before him. The impeachment debacle is going nowhere.

    Did he quit yet?
