On pestilential debates

The Junkman cometh.

A tip of the Mad Dog fedora to Marc Maron, who reminded me of this quote.

I knew there was a philosophy somewhere for all the goodies I sell on ebay. I just need to work on my slogan “Make Crap Great Again!”

I tried to read Naked Lunch a couple of times. Ended up thinking that Borroughs was an entitled trust fund shit.

Dude was weird with a beard, for sure. I learned of him through Kerouac; I read “Junky” first, and holy hell, did it ever make me glad I had never gone down that particular road.

The junk man always services the account. Or is it the account holder?

Speaking of buying shit, throwing it away, and buying more shit, I went to the county recycling point to recycle aluminum, cardboard, and a printer that just went belly up. The roll off container for electronic waste, virtually all consumer electronics and some business products too, was gone. When I asked where does E waste go, the guy says we only recycle lap tops and desk top computers. All the rest goes in regular trash, you know, the landfill. I asked why, wait for it, and he says no one will buy it. I tossed it in the trash trench, and will not buy another until I am forced to. The world is on fire, above and below ground.

I recall reading that China had more or less had it with being the world’s garbage dump. Plastics, mostly. As regards e-waste, it seems The Bug® may be playing a role, according to E-Scrap News.

This is something I hadn’t even considered. The logistics are apparently your basic clusterfuck of epic proportions. But the additional cost is basically what’s done for e-cycling. It’s just not worth it, says the balance sheet. More cost-effective to shit in our own nest.

WALL-E? WALL-E to the white courtesy iPhone, please. WALL-E to the white courtesy iPhone. …
