Requiem for tin hat and gun

A St. Patrick’s Day thought for all those who’ll go no more waltzing Matilda.

    1. Yeah … I was thumbing through the old musical catalogue — “The Sergeant and Arthur McBride,” “Follow Me Up to Carlow,” and like that there — and all my usual faves just seemed too belligerent for “conditions on the ground,” as the fella says.

  1. I was going to post the tubeyou of Lee Greenwood singing Missles over Esfahan* while the bagpipes wailed in the background but I couldn’t find the link.

*kind of like Buffett’s Stars over Alabama

A pleasant St. Patrick’s Day to you all ! May you all have fine weather for your riding.

  2. Well, Happy St. Paddy’s Day! I would put a link to “The Parting Glass” but have done too many times. My jam friend Scott just finished a new song, and it’s upbeat with a good story. So, why not, with Patrick’s forgiveness instead of permission!
