His Excellency, Field Marshal Turkish von Turkenstein (commander, 1st Feline Home Defense Regiment), wants to know what’s all this fuss about putting children in cages.
“Just scratch their ears now and then, keep the food bowl full, and clean that litter box twice a day,” he purrs. “I’ve been a prisoner of love all my life. But then again, I’m a white guy, so your mileage may vary.”

Love my ass. If you loved me, you would turn me loose in the back yard to kill something, pluck it, and eat it. The Duffinator was begging to eat a few baby quail this morning. After all, they are cats and dogs, aren’t they?

The quail have been real active around here until just recently. I saw a pair of adults shooing a baby about the size of a marble across the road the other day. Cute as all get-out.

Cute and active for sure! We had 12 of those fuzzy golf balls, herded by Mom and Pop, cross the front yard yesterday. I think this is the second hatching down here.

Turkish Vans are water lovers and known to swim although I would never put a cat in water! Given the choice between stalking and playing or sleeping in a sink or a thin stream of water I think FM Turk would do both! But, I bet water and sinks intrigue him more.

El Turko loves him some sink. He used to curl up in the pedestal sink in the upstairs bathroom back in Bibleburg, and still favors drinking from a faucet — actually, from a human hand placed palm up underneath the faucet as he lounges between the sinks in our master bath here. Sometimes he insists on drinking from both faucets.
He used to occupy the kitchen sink too, but hasn’t been doing it much lately. We have a stainless steel water bowl next to his food, and he seems to like that pretty well as an alternative to personal service. Miss Mia Sopaipilla prefers the Petkit Eversweet fountain we bought a few months ago.

Ha, effortless mastery and will from FM Turk! The double sink photos are new to me. Gives new meaning to “must have double vanity”. The Turk is Magnificat!
