This is why I wish I had a better camera.
I was out for a ride yesterday and noticed a hang glider freshly launched from the Sandia Crest. If you squint you can just barely make him/her out in the upper right-hand corner there. The original iPhone SE camera doesn’t exactly bring ’em back alive. Not from that altitude, anyway.
It was a good day to be above it all. Cyberattacks shut down the Albuquerque schools and FUBARed various Bernalillo County operations; the county clerk is not amused. My fellow Burqueños are back to croaking each other in bulk after setting a record last year that will be hard to top. And I forgot to invoice The Greater Outside+ Vertically Integrated Globe-Spanning Title-Killing Silo O’ Sports & Fitness, LLC, for my final cartoon of 2021.
The good news is, today is a fine day to be a cat in a sunny spot. But then when is it not?

Went to Walgreens to pick up a prescription. Three maskless guys in line with me, one with a lady, masked, that was coughing. One women at the window being helped also maskless and coughing. I left, quickly. When the lady up front asked me if I couldn’t find what I wanted, I told her I felt unsafe and would come back later. Won’t do any good, and ruined my nice morning. Guys were probably tennis pros.
At least the hang glider pilot as clean air to breath.

And what’s with all the douchenozzles who think slinging the mask under their snouts is a good idea. Hey, Bozo, your beezer is in the breeze. Cover that snot-slinger up!

Yes, it’s true your honor. The Australian Immigration Minister has no dick.

Speaking of cultural references and international affairs, we get a Monty Python reference from Lithuania’s foreign minister via Kevin Drum.

Oh shit, that’s funny.
We are tennis fans and Djokovic is a fave, even though he has stepped in it more than once. This Aussie incident is the tipping point. Every Novak fan here has turned against him. We suggest sending him back to Serbia by way of Spain. I heard the home of the real Spanish Inquisition has some questions for him. For reals…..

He may have grown a pair.

The cynic in me thinks that they may have remembered that there’s an election next year & the government has not endeared its self to the people so far this term.

More to the point and way less important, Hurben: How are your sandal tan lines doing!!?? 🙂
We need some Mark Twain humor and insight occasionally, eh??!! 🙂

Hi JD,
sadly, not great, I’m back in full time employment so my sandal wearing time is restricted.

He’s leaving on a jet plane. Guess the judges were tired of this endless folly, I meant volley.
Full time employment Hurben? How did they talk you into it?
