Twenty-something when we walked The Boo this brisk winter morn. Yow, wow, ow, zow, etc.
Naturally, I wore my Wobbly watch cap to keep ice off my dome. Later I plan to brew a batch of my famous green chile stew to repel any sniffles, flus, and pneumonias trolling the neighborhood for the unprepared and ill-fortified. Even Che found smashing the State a formidable task when his pipes were clogged.

Duffy moved along smartly on his walk this morning. Guess he didn’t want his paws to freeze to the pavement. Chicken chili on the stove right now. High today forecasted to be 50 degrees. WTFO?

The Boo was frisky as well. Plenty of running for the auld fella, who dearly loves chilly weather. Didn’t hurt that he breakfasted well on oven-baked chicken from last night.

Had a high of 39 here today in Bibleburg; but the little snow we got made the trails I rode nothing but “hero dirt”. And…..better yet…..no one was out on them, so I could b-r-a-a-a-p, “rail” the berms, and enjoy bein’ a kid again……..well, as much as a near-71-year old can. 🙂
Chile or posole sounds real good……enjoy!
PS: Daylight hours are gettin’ L-O-N-G-E-R!

I was thinking about riding trail, but here in the Duke City we have a lot of lab rats who get every other Friday off. Given this, and that we’re in the meat of holiday season, I opted for a run.
As it turns out, the trails were largely unoccupied, and I probably could’ve had a pretty nice (if cold) ride. But what the hell, running is a nice change of pace.
Here’s hoping lots of folks get bicycles for holiday gifts.
