    1. CB was on the bbc yesterday. Seems a lot of amerikun journos are much more frank whenst talking to folks who are (virtually, at least) across the pond.

    1. One of my favorite songs. Me suspects that TCWSNBN has probably gone through a lot of his lawyers and money. Guns might be inappropriate here.

      1. Yeah… A few of us in a private email chain figure that the Sunday Time & SCA Promotions re-claw will turn out to be in $20 million range given interest and legal fees.

      2. $20 million here, $20 million there, and before you know it you’re talking about some real money for a guy whose 2010 income was estimated at $21 million. It’s gonna be a long slog, watching the zopilotes pick the tidbits off this carcass.

  1. Where’s the cartoon showing the rats jumping off the SS BigTex? They stick around as long as the incoming cashflow is good, but as soon as it appears that may be negatively impacted – they’re outta there! Will that Wisconsin bike company be next? While I wish no ill on the cancer foundation, it would kind of be karma to see BigTex sued back down to the white-trash punk he was before his sociopathic and fraudulent behavior began. The only ones I truly feel sorry for in this is his poor kids…imagine having a Dad like that.

  2. I don’t know about anyone else here, but if TCWSNBN had just fessed’ up along with all the others, I’d not be so sour on the guy. The rottenness was bigger than one man and it pre-dated his glory years.

Rather than stubbornly expecting the Red Army to retreat back to Moscow, Tex should have helped clean up the mess. Sorry, Tex, but Steiner ain’t going to mount no counterattack. Someone needs to make a Lance version of this one:

      1. Meanwhile, yeah, an early copout might’ve saved at least some of his bacon, but Big Tex just doesn’t have it in him.

Me, I wonder how far he might have gone racing clean. Dude sure had the drive, the focus and the work ethic. The one thing we always forget is that no matter how much shit you’re on, you still have to do the training and racing.

As Lewis Black noted on “The Daily Show” of Big Tex’s decision not to go to arbitration with USADA (NSFW): “You win a 2,000-mile bike race seven years in a row and going to court once a month is too much work?”

  3. Toss your yellow bracelet
    ‘hind the old oak tree
    it’s been 3 long years
    since you had to pee
if you don’t toss that bracelet
    ‘hind the old oak tree
    I’ll get on the bike
    Forget about Nike
And put the blame on thee
If we don’t toss our bracelets
    ‘hind that ollllllld oaaaaaaak treeeeeeee!!!!!

Now and then, you’ve got to miss Tony Orlando, if not Dawn.
